About Me
George J. Tyndall, LMSW
I am a licensed clinical social worker with more than 25 years of experience in clinical practice, supervision, teaching, and executive leadership. After many years guiding large-scale operations in social services, including oversight of over 1,000 staff across 30 states as Senior Vice President of Operations and then Senior Vice President of Performance and Quality Services at a national child and family services agency, I have returned to my original passion—direct clinical work with individuals and families. I began my career as a therapist, specializing in trauma-informed care and evidence-based interventions such as TF-CBT, EMDR, CBT, DBT and CISM. I have extensive experience treating trauma, anxiety, depression, anger management, and co-occurring disorders, and developed a specialized treatment program for survivors of torture. In addition to clinical practice, I have trained professionals in trauma awareness, cultural competency, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral approaches. I also served as an adjunct professor at Grand Valley State University’s School of Social Work, teaching courses in human needs, cultural competency, and generalist practice.
In executive leadership, I advanced system-wide quality improvement, accreditation, and business intelligence while championing trauma-informed and culturally responsive care. Now, drawing on both clinical expertise and the broader perspective gained through leadership, I am re-engaging with direct practice to help individuals and families heal, grow, and thrive.
I hold a Master of Social Work from Grand Valley State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan.
